We will be mountain biking straight across the Chebucto Peninsula on a historic route dating back to the late 1700s! With rivers to ford, old cemeteries to explore, and the opportunity to see moose, this trail will not let you down.

Directions to Old St. Margaret's Bay Road western trailhead: The trailhead is located at Westhaver Rd., Glen Margaret. Take highway 103 towards the South Shore and get off at exit 5 (Hammonds Plaines Rd.). Turn left onto Hammonds Plaines Rd. (213) towards Upper Tantallon. 2.4 km later you will reach a T-intersection, take a right onto Highway 3, then a quick left onto Highway 333 towards Peggy's Cove. After 12.8 km, take a left onto Westhaver Rd (which is an unpaved road). The trailhead to Old St. Margaret's Bay Road is 200 m up Westhaver Rd. on the right side (east side).
Directions to Captain William Spry Community Centre: From the rotary, take Herring Cove Road south towards Herring Cove (highway 249). 4 km from the rotary, take a right hand turn onto Sussex St. (Highway 306). The Captain William Spry Community Centre is 150 m up Sussex St. on the left.
If you are interested in participating but do not have access to a bicycle, you can rent a bicycle for the day.
